IDBizz takes privacy seriously. Effective July 9, 2021, this policy summarizes what information we collect from businesses and individuals, and what we do and don’t do with it.

Please be aware that this policy doesn’t control information used by companies independent from IDBizz. To learn more about how the businesses that use our app treat your privacy, please refer to their Privacy Policy instead.

It is your choice as to whether or not you disclose information linked to your business with us. However, if you choose not to do so, please note that we reserve the right to not accept your business onto our platform, or restrict your usage of our service.

“Information Linked to your Business” is any information that may be used to identify your business or may be displayed to users searching for businesses, including:

• Your business’ name
• Your business’ location (address)
• Your business’ phone number
• Your business’ website url
• How the business’ owners, officers, management self-identify (or is/are self-declared)
• Photos of your business
• Your business’ IDBizz account username and password
• Your business’ IDBizz account settings

If you provide us with the proper information linked to your business, we may distribute it to other users on the app strictly in the name of the app’s functionality. We will never share your business’ account username, password, or settings, nor any information linked to your business that is not explicitly entered by you. Account username and password are only stored locally (on your device), until sign-out is initiated, to enable ease-of-access when signing-in.

When allowed (a prompt is displayed when a user first attempts to activate any functionality that utilizes their device’s photo gallery), IDBizz may access your photo gallery. This is strictly to display the gallery for you to choose pictures of your business for your business’ profile within the map feature. Only when photos are chosen and you have pressed the “Submit Business” will the photos ever leave the phone, just to be stored and displayed when another user opens your business’ profile.

You maintain the right to decline IDBizz’s access to your photo gallery. However, unless you decide to enter your business’ website into the form, you will be unable to submit a business for other users to see.

Once allowed (a prompt is displayed when first opening the application), IDBizz maintains the right to utilize your precise location when the app is in use. This is to help narrow down search results and to present you and the businesses around you on the map feature. Your precise location is never stored externally, nor does it ever leave your device except for when accomplishing the aforementioned functionality.

Unfortunately, due to the user's location being critical to the functionality of the app, if a user does not allow IDBizz to access their location, a majority of the app's features will be shut down until the permissions are changed by the user.

IDBizz may store your data on servers provided by Firebase, powered by Google, with whom we hold an account. 

To help maintain your privacy:

• Don’t share account information, such as settings, a username, or a password with anyone else
• Don’t put any of the aforementioned account information into any text field other than is explicitly requested by the app, as it may be displayed to other users
• Take reasonable precautions against malicious websites or information that may have cropped up due to submissions by other users

For businesses’ ease-of-use, we also have a feature that keeps a personal device signed-in to an account, even after the app is closed. Please make sure to manually sign out using the link at the bottom of the “Submit a Business” page if you are not the only user on that device, or if you are concerned someone else may have access to the device.

To use IDBizz’s application, you must be 13 years of age or older. IDBizz does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. (Please refer to the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.) 

We may alter this Privacy Policy due to legal compliance requirements or changes to our business practices. Though we don’t anticipate any significant changes, please refer back to this policy for updates, as we are not collecting any individual contact information.

This policy is governed under the State of California regarding any conflict of laws. By using the IDBizz application, the user agrees that any dispute brought-up with a section of this policy must be brought in the court of Santa Clara County, California.
